About the company

リバー工業外観

Valuing the spirit we have inherited, we will continue to carefully build the future.

As of July 1, 2024, I have assumed the position of Representative Director.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported River Industry over the years.

Our company began as a painting business and now marks its 73rd anniversary.
After expanding into work such as partial assembly of televisions and stereos, we eventually shifted to specializing in plating.
At that time, with the guidance of our client, Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd., we rebuilt our equipment, chemicals, and management system from the ground up, laying the foundation we stand on today.

The zinc plating process we handle is the final “finishing” step applied to materials.
Especially in Japan, where climate and environmental conditions are severe and protection against iron corrosion is essential, this role remains as important as ever—and will continue to be required into the future.
At the same time, the environment surrounding manufacturing—industrial structures, business relationships, and technological demands—is gradually changing.
In such circumstances, I believe my role is to keep building on the foundations laid so far, while also looking toward new relationships and possibilities.

As someone who has inherited the business, my first responsibility is to preserve the trust built through our approach to work.
Beyond that, I intend to gradually add the perspectives and methods needed for the times ahead.
By accumulating small changes, I hope to steadily prepare River Industry for the future.

I humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.

Our Services

Founded in 1947 as a local coating shop, River Kogyo Co., Ltd. has continued to refine its surface treatment technologies for over 70 years. We now specialize in trivalent chromate (zinc plating) processing, offering reliable finishing solutions for industries ranging from automotive to electronics and housing equipment. What we value has remained constant throughout the years: sincerity in response, attention to detail, and long-term relationships built on trust. These principles continue to guide our work even as the environment around manufacturing evolves.

Commitment to Quality

At River Kogyo, quality is not a slogan but a systemized effort:
Standardization based on guidance from long-term clients such as Japan Columbia Co., Ltd.
Chemical analysis conducted regularly with suppliers to maintain stable solution composition and temperature
Multi-step cleaning, including ultrasonic and electrolytic washing, to improve adhesion and final appearance
Internal sharing of plating criteria for each part type and plating method
We aim not only for compliance but for visual quality and durability that exceed expectations—especially important for visible-use parts in building interiors or consumer-facing products.
